Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend Laila Hasanovic reveals real reason she’s not attending French Open to support him yet

Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend Laila Hasanovic recently revealed the real reason she isn’t attending the 2026 French Open just yet. As the Italian hunts for his maiden title at the event, Hasanovic opened up about the busy schedule that is preventing her from being in Paris.

Sinner and Hasanovic were first rumored to be dating in May, 2025, after the Dane was spotted in the World No.1’s player’s box at Roland Garros. The rumours slowly found purchase over the next few months, with eagle-eyed fans noticing that the model was Sinner’s lock screen during the US Open. The couple eventually confirmed their relationship in October, and Hasanovic has made multiple courtside appearances with Sinner since then.

However, the model is yet to appear at the 2026 French Open, and in a recent Instagram story she revealed her busy schedule, writing,

“Was about to board my flight back to Copenhagen when my agent called saying I got booked for a job in Milan tomorrow. Never a dull moment.”

Jannik Sinner enters the 2026 French Open in the search for his maiden triumph at the event. The Italian is well poised for victory, having picked up five back-to-back titles in the past few weeks while going undefeated on clay this season.

As Sinner gears up for the year’s second Grand Slam, he opened up about his mindset for the tournament, telling media at a pre-tournament press conference,

“It has been a very long but very positive period. I’m lucky to be in this position. I think it’s always better to be in a position where you win and you start to feel tired than you feel very good but you lose a couple of rounds. I try to have a good balance now at the practice court. [I need to] understand also when to push and then hopefully be ready for the first-round matches. I think the excitement also helps you find a bit more energy during the tournament.”

Jannik Sinner will kick off his French Open campaign against home player Clement Tabur. The top seed is scheduled to compete in the night session on Tuesday, May 26.
