Jon Moxley pays a subtle tribute to Randy Orton on AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley has worked with top talents during his time in WWE. He recently paid a subtle tribute to one of them, Randy Orton, on AEW television.

On the February 11 edition of Dynamite, The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli) squared off against The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Davis, and Josh Alexander). The match was an exciting showdown to witness as the opening contest of the night.

At one point in the bout, Konosuke Takeshita was subjected to a triple team assault by The Death Riders. That saw Moxley dropping him to the mat with a cutter that looked much similar to Randy Orton’s finishing move, RKO.

PAC and Mark Davis began the action for the match, only for The Bastard to immediately tag in Jon Moxley. As the two men locked up, the action gradually began to pick up pace. Davis established some dominance, leading to Moxley tagging in the powerful Castagnoli; however, Davis continued to have the upper hand for a while. Takeshita tagged in next and went straight after his AEW Grand Slam Australia opponent, Jon Moxley. This led to an all-out brawl between the two sides.

As the order was restored, PAC was tagged in to go toe-to-toe with The Alpha. Alexander was tagged in next, and the match continued to pick up more pace. The former WWE star found himself being overpowered by the Don Callis Family. However, after a beatdown, he managed to fight his way out and tag Castagnoli, who took firm control of the match for The Death Riders. Moreover, the bout later featured a preview of the upcoming match between Moxley and Takeshita.

Overall, wrestlers from both sides went back and forth against each other, and the trios contest was an exciting sight to witness. As the match came down to its final moments, Moxley delivered a huge underhook slam on Alexander to pick up the win for his team and build momentum as he heads to Grand Slam Australia to defend his Continental title against Konosuke Takeshita.
