MFTs seemingly abandon Solo Sikoa on WWE SmackDown; leads to heartbreaking loss

The MFTs abandoned Solo Sikoa on WWE SmackDown tonight. This resulted in a heartbreaking loss for him.

Solo Sikoa and his MFT stablemates have been feuding with the Wyatt Sicks for the past few months. Solo’s faction was even able to dethrone the Wyatt Sicks and win the WWE Tag Team Titles. However, Solo crossed a line when he stole Bray Wyatt’s lantern.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Solo was set to compete against Randy Orton and Aleister Black in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Before the match, The Street Champion was searching for his stablemates who were nowhere to be found. Hence, he had to enter the match alone. This didn’t help him as Orton was able to pin him after hitting his signature RKO. With this win, The Viper qualified for the Elimination Chamber match at the namesake PLE.

Cody Rhodes recalled backstage confrontation with Solo Sikoa

Cody Rhodes is considered one of the locker room leaders in the WWE. However, this doesn’t exempt him from getting called out by a younger star from time to time. This is what happened recently.

Speaking on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Cody Rhodes revealed getting into a backstage confrontation with Solo Sikoa because the latter wasn’t happy that the American Nightmare was “begging” for cheers during their match. Cody later realized that Solo was right. Triple H also confirmed the same to him.

“I went home texting my inner circle about like, man, have I like, Solo doesn’t respect me. Have I lost my, I’ve thought about it. I thought about it, like I’m supposed to lead him. And he’s telling me (to don’t cheer), and then I thought, ‘No, he’s right.’ It was Hunter. Finally, I was talking to Hunter. He was like, ‘Yeah, no, he’s not wrong,'” Rhodes said.

It remains to be seen what’s next for the MFTs on SmackDown.
