Wrestling legend Chris Jericho is been in the headlines for a few weeks. There have been speculations if the AEW star will show up next in WWE.
Y2J has not wrestled in AEW since April 2025. In his last appearance for the company, he lost the ROH World title to Bandido. The 55-year-old legend has been a prominent star for the promotion ever since it’s inception. He was the first World Champion of the Jacksonville-based company and played an important role in the promotion’s success during it’s initial days. He had memorable feuds with major stars like Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, MJF, Cody Rhodes, and The Elite.
Strickland recently sat down with Adam’s Apple for an exclusive interview. The star was asked about Jericho’s next move. He revealed that he had texted the legendary wrestler. Swerve stated that he would support Y2J irrespective of which company he wrestles in. The star supported whatever Chris would decide and felt it was his duty to support the former AEW Champion.
“I actually texted Chris. I congratulated him on whatever his decision is going to be. Whatever his decision is going to be, I’m supporting him no matter what,” Swerve said. (H/T Ringside News)

The star recently shared an important news on social media. The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n Rolla reported that his YouTube show The Talk is Jericho had reached a major milestone. The show recently surpassed six million views on YouTube. The veteran wrestler thanked the fans for supporting the channel and tuning in regularly to enjoy his content.
The star’s music band, Fozzy is also currently touring UK and Jericho is busy with the band’s performances across the country.
