“Such a gentleman”- Fans react as Jungkook steps in to help injured reporter during BTS airport appearance

Jungkook drew attention online after a brief interaction with a reporter during BTS’s departure from Incheon International Airport on February 2, 2026. The group was heading overseas for scheduled activities, with multiple media outlets present to cover their arrival at the airport.

During the walk-through, one reporter appeared to bump into a sign while filming Jimin. Footage shared later shows Jimin and a staff member reacting to the moment, seemingly concerned about the reporter’s safety.

Shortly after, Jungkook, who was walking behind Jimin, rushed forward and took the reporter’s camera, which was livestreaming the scene. Holding the camera, he and fellow member V briefly filmed themselves as if recording a vlog. Jungkook looked into the lens and greeted viewers, saying,

“Nice to meet you,”

He then added that they were heading to an important shoot. V echoed the greeting, and the two laughed before Jungkook returned the camera to the reporter when she asked delightedly. The reporter was later heard speaking happily about the moment.

Clips of the exchange circulated widely on social media soon after. Many fans described the moment initially as playful. But soon after learning the full situation they started praising Jungkook while sharing the footage and photos across platforms. One fan commented,

“The sweetest and kindhearted person ever. You’ve raised such a gentleman papa and mama jeon”

The sweetest and kindhearted person ever💕 You’ve raised such a gentleman papa and mama jeon🥹

As the moment created a wide discussion across social media fans praised the youngest BTS member calling him “kindest”.

Global Pop Superstar yet remains the kindest, considerate human

Is this man even real? Not only is he extremely talented, but he has the looks, the personality, and is humble and kind too. He is truly a one of a kind superstar so rare. I hope HYBE knows his value. If anyone criticizes you for stanning him mind you they are the losers.

I have only one heart, how many times is he going to win it? 😭😭😭😭

Fans continued to praise Jungkook, saying they felt proud to support the “right” artist.

BTS members have all rights to treat korean reporters like hyenas, after every hell they put them through. Yet, they treat them only with perfect kindness, looking out especially for women’s comfort. We truly stan the right people

no wonder ppl who have met him always talk about how kind and humble he is🥺

Jungkook, you’re giving me even more reasons to love you. Stanning you is honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’m proud to be your fan.

Jungkook and BTS set the internet talking with airport departure ahead of ARIRANG album, world tour, and Netflix projects

BTS’s appearance as a full seven-member group at Incheon International Airport on February 2 became a major talking point, as it marked their first overseas work trip together in about five years. The last time all members were seen departing as a unit for official schedules was in 2021, before the group paused activities and the members began their mandatory military service. The OT7 moment drew heavy attention from both fans and the press.

What stood out to many observers was the natural chemistry between the members. Their easy interactions with each other and with reporters reminded fans of earlier eras when group schedules were frequent. For many, the scene felt like a visible step toward BTS resuming full-scale activities.

The timing also connects with the group’s upcoming comeback. BTS is preparing to release a new studio album titled ARIRANG, their first full-length record in nearly four years. Their last major group release was the 2022 anthology Proof. According to their agency, the new album reflects a new phase for the group and includes direct creative input from all seven members, from concept planning to musical direction.

BIGHIT MUSIC has said the 14-track album draws from the members’ individual experiences over the past few years and expresses where they are now as artists. The project is described as both a continuation of BTS’s identity and a way of thanking fans who stayed with them during the hiatus.

In addition to the album, the agency announced on January 13, 2026, that BTS will begin a large-scale world tour, their first in four years. The tour is set to include 82 concerts across 34 cities and regions throughout 2026 and 2027. It will start in South Korea on April 9 and then move on to Japan, the United States, and parts of Latin America, with more stops to be revealed later.

The group is also working with Netflix on two major projects. One is a global live stream of BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang, a concert scheduled for March 21, 2026, at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. While tickets are required for in-person attendance, Netflix will broadcast the event worldwide at 8 p.m. KST.

The second project is a documentary titled BTS: The Return. Directed by Bao Nguyen, the film follows RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook as they reunite in Los Angeles after completing their military service and begin work on new music. The documentary, which includes behind-the-scenes footage from the album and concert preparations, is set to premiere on Netflix on March 27, 2026.
