“Should be arrested for terrorist threats”

Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant caught heat from NBA fans on Sunday after he heckled an OKC Thunder fan on Saturday.

Durant during the third quarter of the Rockets road game, with the scores at 71-70, had an interaction with a Thunder fan courtside. He was overheard telling the fan that he knew where he lived.

His comments caused a frenzy on social media, with a fan on X calling for the two-time champion’s arrest.

“Should be arrested for terrorist threats.”

Durant and the Thunder fanbase have been at loggerheads since his acrimonious departure for the Golden State Warriors in 2016. He was booed on opening night of the 2025-26 season, when he returned with the Rockets, as the Thunder raised their first championship banner.

While with Golden State, he said that he felt betrayed by the city and its fanbase and no longer trusted people in that community. However, in 2023 while with the Phoenix Suns, he acknowledged some of the support he got from OKC fans, even though he still gets booed by some.

Kevin Durant led the Rockets to a 112-106 road win against the OKC Thunder on Saturday. He finished the game with 20 points and four assists.

Kevin Durant mocks Warriors fan for getting rage baited after Steph Curry gets No. 2 label on 2017-19 team

Kevin Durant was named the Golden State Warriors’ best option with Steph Curry named second in a Bleacher Report article. The article took off on X, and Durant appeared to mock a fan for tagging the story as ‘rage bait’ on X.

“Way to have self control Tommy. Prada u.”

Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 from the OKC Thunder, signing a two-year deal with a player option for the second year, worth about $54.3 million. He led them to a title in 2017 and was named Finals MVP, repeating the feat the following season.

The two-time champion joined a Warriors team packed with firepower. The trio of Durant, Curry and Klay Thompson created one of the best shooting and scoring backcourts in league history, as in the three seasons spent, the team posted a regular-season record of 125-39 and a postseason record of 32-6.

Regardless, the team was still built around Steph Curry. Durant eventually left in 2019 as he needed a new challenge. He later admitted that although he felt accepted in Golden State, he still felt different from the Warriors’ core guys.

Kevin Durant averaged 25.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game with the Warriors. His journey has seen him suit up for the Brooklyn Nets (2019-2023), the Phoenix Suns (2023-2025) and currently with the Houston Rockets.
