Popular GTA modding and RP server client, FiveM, recently received a major update. The client’s parent company, Cfx.re, announced the update on February 12, 2026. This marks the first major UI update after Cfx.re was acquired by Rockstar Games in 2023.
Here are more details about GTA FiveM’s first major UI update.
Details about GTA modding client FiveM’s first major UI update
On their official website, Cfx.re posted more details about the new FiveM update. The developers mentioned that this will be the first of many changes they will bring to the GTA modding client. In this first update, they made major changes to the client’s UI, making it cleaner and more streamlined.

One of the most noticeable changes was that the server names will no longer have different colors. They will all have white text, which massively improves readability.
They also changed the server listing character limits as follows:
- Reduced the server’s project name limit to 40 characters.
- Reduced the server’s name limit to 120 characters.
- Increased server description limit to 250 characters.
Another notable change they brought was to add a “Report Server” button within every server.
All these changes have also been made to RedM, Red Dead Redemption 2’s modding client.
How to download or update FiveM

Updating or downloading GTA FiveM is extremely easy. Before downloading the modding client, make sure to download the GTA 5 Legacy version, since the client still does not support the Enhanced version. After downloading the game, you can head to FiveM’s official website and download its client. Since you are downloading a fresh installer, it will directly install the latest version with these UI changes.
If you want to update an already-installed FiveM client, you can simply open it and wait for the application to automatically download and update itself. Once done, you can explore all the changes made to the client.
