New England Patriots star quarterback Drake Maye and his wife, Anne Michael Maye, have created a wholesome pre-game ritual. It became more visible during the divisional round of the 2025 NFL playoffs.
It all started against the Houston Texans. Anne Michael showed her support to Maye before he took C.J. Stroud and Co. with a kiss. Anne Michael rocked an “I Love Drake Maye” T-shirt when she went to the sidelines to give him a pregame kiss.
Thanks for the submission!

The same happened against the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game. Contrary to the Texans duel, Maye had his helmet in hand, leaned over, and kissed his wife before he went on to lead the Patriots to the Super Bowl.

Sunday night duel couldn’t start differently. The NFL shared a clip of the couple embracing each other and kissing before Maye took the field.
The pregame kisses have brought fortune to the Patriots. After what many called an easy regular season, they continued to win games to advance to the Super Bowl. They are one win away from winning the seventh Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

Tom Brady’s father denies Patriots legend is jealous of Drake Maye
After Tom Brady received backlash for refusing to support the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, his father, Tom Brady Sr., defended the seven-time NFL champion against comments claiming he was jealous of Maye.
“He wants (Patriots owner) Robert (Kraft) to win this thing and get his seventh Super Bowl,” Brady Sr. said on Saturday, via the Boston Globe. “He’s got several different roles, and he’s got to maintain some level of impartiality.
“I will tell you as well as I know my son, he has said this before, that my legacy is already established. I’ve heard him say, if somebody ever breaks my record, I will shake their hand because I know how much it has taken to get there.”
Brady said he “had no dog in this fight,” adding that he wanted to see both teams compete at the highest level and give fans a show. The lack of support for the team he won six Super Bowls with earned him plenty of criticism.
