Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 13 is going to reset the ladder on February 20, 2026. With no major changes or balances to the core meta builds, most of the top-performing builds from Season 12 will still dominate the upcoming season. Despite the launch of the Reign of the Warlock expansion, the meta remains pretty much the same.
This tier list ranks the best builds in Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 13 based on early ladder strength, leveling speed, and endgame potential.
Best builds tier list in Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 13

S-tier
These are the overall best builds to play in Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 13. All of them level fast and scale smoothly into the endgame. Minimal gear requirements make them the optimal choice for starting the ladder.
- Blizzard Sorceress
- Lightning Fury Amazon
- Blessed Hammer Paladin (Hammerdin)
- Fist of the Heavens Paladin
- Nova Sorceress
- Lightning Sorceress
- Berserk Barbarian
- Phoenix Strike Assassin
- Poison Nova Necromancer
- Lightning Sentry Assassin (Trapsin)
A-tier
These builds are capable, powerful, and perform almost as well as S-tier variants with the right gear setup. All of these compositions scale well into the endgame and can clear maps effectively, but they don’t quite reach the damage ceiling of the S-tier builds.
- Fire Ball / Meteor Sorceress
- Smite Paladin
- Lightning Strike Amazon
- Dream Paladin
- Double Throw Barbarian
- Fire Blast Assassin
- Wake of Fire Assassin
- Summon Necromancer
- Dragon Talon Assassin
- Frozen Orb Sorceress
- Fire Wall Sorceress
- Shock Wave Barbarian
B-tier
Every build in this tier performs well throughout the game. That said, it lags behind S and A tiers due to their dependence on proper gear.
- Holy Fire Paladin
- Fissure Druid
- Frost Nova Sorceress
- War Cry Barbarian
- Enchant Sorceress
- Tornado Druid
- Hydra Sorceress
- Frenzy Barbarian
- Fire Wall Sorceress
- Dragon Tail Assassin

C-tier
These builds are adequate for early stages and perform decently with the right gear. Try these builds if you know where to get the right gear.
- Exploding Arrow Amazon
- Whirlwind Barbarian
- Summon Druid
- Freezing Arrow Amazon
- Plague Javelin Amazon
- Werebear Sorceress
- Leap Attack Barbarian
- Zeal Paladin
- Fury Druid
- Bone Spear Necromancer
- Blade Assassin
D-tier
While you can enhance these builds with proper gear, they will still fall behind. Leveling is difficult with these compositions, and they struggle to clear the endgame content.
- Jab/Fend Amazon
- Maul Druid
- Rift Assassin
- Fire Claws Druid
- Whirlwind Assassin
- Phoenix Strike Assassin
- Double Throw Barbarian
- Dragon Tail Assassin
- Strafe Amazon
- Leap Attack Barbarian
- Holy Fire Paladin
F-tier
These builds are not worth playing in Season 13. The time it takes for you to level them up with the right gear is not worth the damage it deals to enemies.
- Rabies Druid
- Werewolf Barbarian
- Rift Sorceress
- Multiple Shot Amazon
- Fury Barbarian
- Multiple Shot Amazon
- Maul Druid
- Fire Claws Druid
- Frenzy Barbarian
Best starter build for Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 13

Blizzard Sorcerer is the best class to play in Season 12, offering smooth scaling capability into the endgame.
- Strong cold damage output, perfect for early clearing
- Teleport offers high mobility across the battlefield.
- Minimal dependency on gear
- Extremely effective when farming Pindleskin zones, Andariel, and Mephisto
While the Blizzard Sorcerer is the best starter build for newbies, as it offers a safe progression, most veterans and hardcore players will pick the Summoner Necromancer for solo play or the Blessed Hammer Paladin for group play.

While the sorcerers remain the most dominant class in the early reset, the Paladins will retain their place as the most stable and consistent builds in Season 13. So when starting Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 13, go with the Blizzard Sorcerer for an early boost. For hardcore runs, picking the Summoner Necromancer is ideal, and for bossing in the endgame, go with the Blessed Hammer Paladin (Hammerdin).
