Barcelona are eyeing a number of wingers despite having a deal in place to sign Marcus Rashford
Barcelona have reportedly added Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup to their wishlist for this summer – and that could spell bad news for Marcus Rashford.
Schjelderup has been one of the stand-out players for the Lisbon giants this season, scoring seven goals and adding four assists in 36 appearances.
At just 21 years of age, he is seven years younger than Rashford and could provide better value for money over the long term.
Rashford has reportedly agreed personal terms with Barca, who have the option of making his loan move from Manchester United permanent at the end of the season for an agreed price of £30million.
The noises from Catalonia suggest Barca are eager to complete that deal with the England international making a positive impression with 10 goals and 10 assists in 39 games this season but Schjelderup has now emerged as an alternative.

Barcelona scouts check out Schjelderup
Barca scouts are reported to have watched him first hand in the 2-1 win at Arouca on March 14.
The Norway international would be keen on swapping Portugal for Spain. When told of Barca’s interest, he told TV2: “I don’t know anything about it but it would be fantastic if it were true.”
Benfica always attract a premium for their players but it is thought Barca could prise Schjelderup out of the Estadio da Luz for a fee in the region of €40m.
Chelsea’s Pedro Neto is another player Barca are considering.
The Portugal winger has had a mixed season at Stamford Bridge and has attracted plenty of criticism from the club’s supporters.
Like Schjelderup, he would be eager to join Barca and play alongside the likes of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
