Shiftmation puzzles are a new gameplay mechanism introduced in Honkai Star Rail 4.0, wherein players need to enter a scene, recover paint, and restore the scene to its original state. These puzzles function like arcade platformers, and can only be found in the new region of Planarcadia.
This article provides a guide on locating and solving all the Floating Grease Origin Retrace Shiftmation puzzles in the World’s End Tavern of Planarcadia.
Honkai Star Rail 4.0 World’s End Tavern Shiftmation Puzzles guide
You will find a total of three Shiftmation puzzles in World’s End Tavern. The following are their locations and solutions:
Puzzle #1
Teleport to the Blisstar Space Anchor, and turn right. You will find the puzzle directly in front of you.
Follow these steps to solve the puzzle:
- Jump straight up and reclaim the paint on the first platform.
- Jump up and to the right to reclaim the paint on the second platform.
- Walk a few steps right and jump down to reach the third platform and reclaim the paint.
- Keep jumping up using the blocks till you reach the very top.
- Head left, and drop down at the correct position to reach the fourth platform and reclaim the paint.
- Jump up and reach the fox to finish the puzzle.
Puzzle #2
The second puzzle is located on the second floor of the tavern. To get here, teleport to the Tavern Lobby Space Anchor and head left to use the Interplanetary Jump tunnel. Go through the tunnel to reach the second floor of the tavern, where you can find the puzzle in a room directly behind you.
Follow these steps to solve the puzzle:
- Keep heading left till you reach the last platform. Climb to the top of it and press Q (rotate clockwise).
- Jump up to the platform with the spring.
- Use the spring to jump to the pink platform on the right and reclaim the paint.
- Then simply jump right to reach the fox and complete the puzzle.
Puzzle #3
Teleport to the Fatal Joke Space Anchor, and head straight to the end of the corridor. Enter the room on the left, and go through the door. The puzzle is located behind the last row of the theater.
Follow these steps to solve the puzzle:
- Press Q twice.
- Jump to the second-most layer from the top, and press Q twice again.
- Jump to the very top, and go to the pink platform on the right to reclaim the paint.
- Press Q once.
- Jump up and head left to reach the pink platform and reclaim the paint.
- Jump and use the moving purple platforms to reach the fox at the very top.
