Former two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles recently wrestled his final match in the Stamford-based company. He locked horns with Gunther at Royal Rumble 2026 and was defeated by technical submission. The 48-year-old is a legend, and fans are expecting him to continue his in-ring career elsewhere.
Styles was once signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling. He has held the IWGP Heavyweight Championship twice, and his time in the company was historic. Furthermore, he was the leader of the iconic Bullet Club. This faction officially dissolved earlier this year, with David Finley being its last leader.
AEW has a working relationship with NJPW, and this could result in the Bullet Club reforming in the Tony Khan-led company. AJ Styles could sign with All Elite Wrestling soon, and he could bring back the legendary stable. Furthermore, former members of the group, such as Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, could reunite with their ex-leader. It will also be interesting to see Gabe Kidd or Clark Connors be part of this faction.
Bullet Club 2.0, with Styles at the helm, has the potential to be an amazing storyline. Nevertheless, all this is speculation for now.
AEW star Jeff Jarrett believes that AJ Styles is not done with wrestling
On a recent episode of his My World podcast, AEW star Jeff Jarrett stated that AJ Styles is not done with in-ring competition, and the former WWE Champion might wrestle again soon.
“We have not seen the last of AJ Styles in the ring. Look, it may be a year, it may be two years, I don’t know. I think AJ’s stock, if he’s on the ticker, over the last week or two has risen. Would you buy AJ stock right now? If we were giving stock recommendations, I would give it a buy, that’s for sure,” he said. [H/T: TJR Wrestling]
Only time will tell what the future holds for the Phenomenal star. Hopefully, he will debut in AEW this year.
