4 months after asking NFL fans to learn Spanish, Bad Bunny changes tune on language barrier issue for Super Bowl halftime show

Puerto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny has changed his stance on the language barrier issues that could take place during his Super Bowl halftime show performance.

Four months ago, he urged people to learn Spanish so that they could enjoy his performance. However, on Thursday at the Super Bowl halftime show press conference, Bad Bunny walked back on his initial comments and said that learning Spanish is not mandatory to have a good time.

“It’s going to be fun,” Bad Bunny said. “It’s going to be easy and people only have to worry about dancing. I know that I told the other day that they had four months to learn Spanish. They don’t even have to learn Spanish.

“They just, it’s better if they learn to dance. But I think there’s no better dance than the one that comes from the heart. That’s the only thing that they neeed to worry about.”

The “Me Porto Bonito” hitmaker headlining the Super Bowl LX halftime show caused quite the stir in the NFL world. Some supported the “King of Latin Trap,” while others argued that he should not be the one to perform at an American football game finale.

POTUS Donald Trump, who won’t be attending the Patriots vs. Seahawks finale at Levi’s Stadium, also said he opposed the NFL’s decision to choose Bad Bunny as the halftime show performer. The singer/rapper has been a vocal critic of the way the president runs his administration.

“I’m anti-them,” Trump said. “I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
