Liv Morgan officially confirms major WWE move after Royal Rumble win

Liv Morgan outlasted 29 other women in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to win the 2026 Royal Rumble match. Morgan has confirmed her latest move after one of the biggest victories of her career.

This past Monday on Raw, Morgan tried to help Raquel Rodriguez win the Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer. It backfired as La Primera escaped Philadelphia still the champion.

However, Morgan attacked Vaquer afterward, seemingly signaling her intent to challenge her for the Women’s World Title at WrestleMania 42.

But speaking on TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring podcast, Liv Morgan confirmed that she hasn’t made a decision for WrestleMania 42. She will be on SmackDown this Friday and will likely make a decision after consulting Dominik Mysterio.

Why Did WWE Waste This Year’s Royal Rumble? Find Out!

“I really have no clue what I’m looking to do. That’s why I’m going to do some recon (on SmackDown). I’m really going to weigh out my options, the pros, the cons, and then ultimately when the time is right, I guess I will choose what decision is best for me,” Morgan said.

Liv Morgan is already a two-time Women’s World Champion, while she has never held the WWE Women’s Title. It’s currently held by Jade Cargill, who has the size and power advantage over her.

Liv Morgan set to “retire” this year

Toward the end of her appearance on Inside The Ring, co-host Branson Quirke wished Liv Morgan good luck for her upcoming appearance on SmackDown. Quirke also mentioned that Morgan and his co-host Lana are going to be at Coachella this year.

That’s when Morgan announced that they are retiring from attending the festival, and this year will be their final time there.

“We will. This is the retirement year. We are done after this year. No, we’re hanging up the boots after this year,” Morgan said.

For those unaware, Coachella is an annual festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year’s event will be a one-week affair from April 10 to 17.
