Leeds and Sunderland have defied expectations so far this season having come up from the Championship.
They start tonight’s clash at Elland Road in 15th and 12th place, respectively, after strong campaigns built around solid home form.
Leeds played well on Saturday against Manchester City but failed to capitalise on the chances they created before falling for the sucker punch from Antoine Semenyo.
Sunderland ground out a well-earned 1-1 draw at Bournemouth, Eliezer Mayenda’s opener cancelled out by Evanilson.
Daniel Farke’s side are in better form, the defeat to City just their third in 17 games in all competitions.
