Shiftmation puzzles are a new kind of gameplay mechanism added to Honkai Star Rail in version 4.0. With the introduction of the new region of Planarcadia, a variety of new mechanisms and novel puzzles have been prepared for players to experience, with Shiftmation puzzles being one of them. This particular kind of puzzle requires players to recover paint for the little creatures and restore the scene to its original state. Completing these puzzles will reward you with Stellar Jades, Traveler’s Guides, Arcadian Tokens, and Credits.
This article provides the locations and solutions of all Floating Grease Origin Retrace Shiftmation Puzzles in the Graphia Academy region of Planarcadia in Honkai Star Rail 4.0.
Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Graphia Academy Shiftmation Puzzles guide
There are a total of four Shiftmation Puzzles located throughout the map of Graphia Academy. It is recommended for players to unlock the Space Anchors on the map for easy navigation.
The following are the locations of all the Shiftmation Puzzles in Graphia Academy, along with steps on solving them:
Puzzle #1
The first Shiftmation Puzzle can be found near the very entrance of Graphia Academy. Teleport to the Main Building Foyer Space Anchor and head to the end of the corridor on the left to reach this puzzle.
Follow these steps to solve this puzzle:
- Interact with the jump button on the right and make your way to the upper platform.
- Double jump to reach the platform on the left, and reclaim the paint.
- Next, jump up using the wall on the left to reach the platform directly above it. Reclaim the paint.
- Double jump to the right to reach the third platform and reclaim the paint.
- Finally, jump upwards and interact with the bunny.
Puzzle #2
To get to the second puzzle, teleport to the Main Building Corridor Space Anchor, turn right, and enter through the doorway. You will find the puzzle beside a vending machine, to your left.
Follow these steps to solve the puzzle:
- Jump upwards using the stairs on the middle platform, then jump right to reach the first heart and reclaim the paint.
- Head back to the stairs on the middle platform, and press Q (rotate clockwise) once.
- Jump left to reach the second heart and reclaim the paint.
- Jump right to get back to the middle platform, and climb the stairs to reach the bunny on the top.
Puzzle #3
Teleport to the School Building Lobby Space Anchor, and head to the very end of the corridor to your right to get to this Shiftmation puzzle.
Follow these steps to complete the puzzle:
- Press E once to rotate the world anti-clockwise.
- Press down + jump at the same time to drop down to the where the trampoline is.
- Use the jump boost from the trampoline to reach the upper level.
- Simply jump upwards using the blocks to reach the first platform and reclaim the paint.
- Head to the very top of the platform, and go left.
- Drop down several levels to reach the second platform below, and reclaim the paint.
- Jump back up to reach the bunny on the topmost level.
Puzzle #4
To reach the fourth puzzle, first teleport to the Student Dining Area Space Anchor on the second floor, go through the door on the left, and keep heading left. You will spot the puzzle at the end of the hallway, to your right.
Follow these steps to solve the puzzle:
- Jump to the platform above, and press Q once (rotate the world clockwise).
- Jump up and reach the first painted pillar, and reclaim the paint.
- Jump left and reclaim the paint on the second pillar.
- Jump left once again to reclaim the paint on the third pillar.
- Jump up and to the right to reach the bunny and finish the puzzle.
