All new Runewords in Diablo 2 Resurrected

The Diablo 2 Resurrected Reign of the Warlock update added a series of new Runeword combos to try out, provided you can find the Runes to make them. For those not familiar, Runewords are formed when you put together specific combos of Runes into the gem slots of weapons and armor. There’s a similar, simpler system in place in Diablo 4, but the D2 version is a little more difficult to use.

The Runes are rarer, and some of the effects can require 4 runes put in a specific order. If you do this, the equipment piece they’re attached to can gain some truly staggering effects. We know of at least five new Runewords available in Diablo 2 Resurrected, but there’s no telling if there’s something else out there, hidden. Here’s everything we know so far.

All new Runewords in Diablo 2 Resurrected and what they do

The best thing about these new Runewords in Diablo 2 Resurrected, is while some of them may benefit Warlocks more than others (Authority grants +2 to Warlock skills), using them on other classes could be incredibly fascinating.

As you can see, many of these are very late-game Runewords, but they sure pack a lot of power. I’m a huge fan of Void for Indestructible, and the increased Magic Skill Damage, and ranks to Abyss. That’s great for a Magic Build Warlock, or if you shift to Magic damage in the late game on your leveling build.

I can see melee-based Warlocks getting a lot out of Vigilance, because it gives faster Block Rate, Fire Resist, a potential 100% Enhanced Defense, and faster movement. It gets you in and out of combat faster, not to mention it also keeps you safe.

If you just want to use Warlock skills for free, Authority on your chest piece could be a great boon. When you strike it has a chance to use Miasma Chain (Level 15) and when you’re hit, there’s a low chance you’ll trigger the Psychic Ward (Level 10) power.

All told, these Runewords are pretty impressive, but the hard part is going to be actually equipping them in-game. You need the right level, Runes, and gear you think is worth equipping them to.
