“We actually talked to her the other day”

The Young Bucks are a legendary tag team duo in the world of professional wrestling. They have been in various promotions all over the world, capturing some of the biggest titles. Recently, Matt and Nick Jackson talked about a female WWE star in their most recent video on social media.

In their latest YouTube video on their channel, Being The Elite, Bucks gave a shoutout to SmackDown star Candice LeRae. The WWE talent has worked in the PWG wrestling promotion from 2008 to 2015. During that time, the Young Bucks were also in the same promotion in a monumental run.

During their YouTube Q&A session, Matt & Nick Jackson talked about their career in PWG. It led them to talk about Candice LeRae’s run in the promotion. They called her one of their favorite wrestling talents of all time, before revealing that they had a conversation with her a few days ago.

“Candice LeRae, she’s one of our favorites. Shoutout to Candice, we just actually talked to her the other day,” said Matt Jackson.

LeRae has been involved in a decent run with her husband, Johnny Gargano, on WWE SmackDown. The recent comments by the Young Bucks are enough to highlight the wrestling status of the female talent in the wrestling business.

The Young Bucks revealed massive nixed plans for them in AEW

The Young Bucks were involved in a heated feud with Kenny Omega last year. They ended up facing the former AEW World Champion at AEW Full Gear 2025 in a six-man tag team match that also involved Jurassic Express before getting reunited. But recently, Bucks revealed that they were supposed to be involved in a massive showdown following that match.

In the same edition of Being The Elite, Matt & Nick Jackson revealed that they were supposed to face Golden Lovers following their Full Gear match. But due to Kota Ibushi’s injury, AEW had to scrap those plans.

“A proposed match that never happened? The Golden Lovers. It was actually supposed to happen pretty recently, but he [Kota Ibushi] had a really bad leg break. We were supposed to do Kenny and Ibushi a couple of months ago,” said Nick Jackson.

Additionally, it was the same reason why Tony Khan reunited Omega and the Bucks in All Elite Wrestling all of a sudden.
