AJ Lee once again returned to WWE on Monday Night RAW tonight in Cleveland, and had a heated exchange with her bitter rival, Becky Lynch. The two continued taking jibes at each other before The Black Widow challenged Becky Lynch for her Intercontinental Championship match at Elimination Chamber PLE on February 28, 2026.
A reluctant Becky Lynch finally agreed to the challenge, claiming that she would beat The Geek Goddess fair and square in their one-on-one clash. However, the booking of this match was quite surprising, as it was expected that the two hardcore rivals would finish their epic story at WrestleMania 42.

If AJ Lee squares off against Becky at Elimination Chamber, who will she face at WrestleMania 42? The real game of Triple H lies here. AJ Lee’s opponent at WrestleMania 42 is already decided, and it’s none other than Becky Lynch.
According to Dave Meltzer, the ultimate battle will only take place at Mania, with the bout at Elimination Chamber only being announced. Either this match could be postponed, or some change could be made in this booking so that Becky and AJ Lee’s one-on-one match happens at WrestleMania only.
“I was expecting this match at Mania, but I was told there’s a reason it’s here and the story goes until Mania. I go like, ‘Oh I thought this was going to be at Mania.’ And it’s like, ‘Don’t worry, it all plays out to get there.’ Whatever this plan is today probably won’t be changed. The two superstars who could be a catalyst in the change of the booking could be Natalya (Nattie) and Maxxine Dupri. These two are also locked in a vicious rivalry since the January 5, 2025, episode of RAW, when Nattie surprisingly turned on her student, Maxxine Dupri, during the title match against Becky Lynch.
Next week on RAW, the fans could be surprised by the change in plans for the bout at Elimination Chamber PLE.
Becky Lynch attacked AJ Lee on tonight’s episode of RAW
AJ Lee came out to save Maxxine Dupri when the Alpha Academy member was being brutally battered by Natalya on the announce table. As the WWE legend went for a Sharp Shooter on Maxxine, The Geek Goddess came out to save her from Nattie’s clutches.
While she escaped into the crowd section, AJ helped Maxxine walk back. However, Becky Lynch came out of nowhere from behind and rammed AJ into the pole. The attack left AJ writhing in pain on the ground, while Bekcy continued ranting against her.
It remains to be seen how WWE will use these four superstars going into Elimination Chamber. Will we see AJ Lee and Maxxine Dupri team up against Becky Lynch and Natalya at Elimination Chamber? We’ll get the answer most probably by next week.
