Nico Carrillo employs smarter training camp for Shadow

Nico ‘King of the North’ Carrillo can’t wait to showcase a more measured approach in his upcoming interim featherweight Muay Thai world title fight with Shadow Singha Mawynn at ONE Fight Night 40: Buntan vs. Hemetsberger II on Prime Video on Friday night.

He told ONE Championship that he’s spent more time working on his defense and a sound strategy, particularly for this very important matchup:

“I would say I’m training smarter. I always train hard, in every camp. However, some camps I ran myself into the ground. Some camps I perhaps neglected certain parts of training, like having full days just working on defense, because my mindset is always go, go, go. Always need to push myself to extremes.”
