Tottenham now racing to sign Iliman Ndiaye as Everton set huge asking price

Tottenham Hotspur are now racing to sign a £65m star, who received very high praise from Jamie O’Hara earlier in the campaign.

Spurs join race to sign new forward

Dominic Solanke has made an instant impact since returning from injury, bagging four goals in all competitions, but Tottenham remain keen on strengthening their attacking options, and they have identified Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic as a target ahead of the summer.

Vlahovic may be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, and the Serbian could be an exciting signing for Spurs, having chipped in with 64 goals and 16 assists in 162 games since joining Juventus from Serie A rivals Fiorentina.

However, the centre-forward isn’t tried and tested in the Premier League, unlike some of the Lilywhites’ other attacking targets, with it recently being revealed they’re keen on signing Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, who scored his 10th goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.

Rogers is regarded as a dream target for Tottenham, but the England international is not the only Premier League star on the shortlist, with a report from Caught Offside stating they have now joined the race to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye.

Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye

Ndiaye has been a key player for the Toffees this season, meaning his current employers have set an asking price of €65m – €75m (£57m – £65m), and there could be fierce competition for his signature, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea also named as potential suitors.

With the Senegal international under contract until 2029, the Merseysiders are in a strong negotiating position, but if Thomas Frank‘s side do manage to tempt them into a sale, there is plenty of evidence he could be a fantastic addition to the squad.

Spurs are keen to bring in a new centre-back.

O’Hara lauds Ndiaye as “one of the best”

O’Hara waxed lyrical about the Everton star on X earlier this season, suggesting the forward is among the Premier League’s top players after he found the net in a 1-1 draw against Sunderland.

The 25-year-old has four goals and two assists to his name in the Premier League this season, and he has averaged a FotMob match rating of 7.24, which is higher than any Spurs player, and the second-highest in the Everton squad.

Having also chipped in with nine Premier League goals in 33 matches last term, Ndiaye has now proven himself in the top flight over a sustained period of time, and he could be a fantastic addition to Frank’s squad this summer.
