For Roger Federer, this appearance at the Super Bowl marks the second time he’s attended a major sporting event in as many months. Roger Federer reflects on his Super Bowl memories

Roger Federer has long since shown an interest in American football. Recently, as he made his appearance at the 2026 Super Bowl, the 44-year-old looked back on his memories at the event and picked out David Tyree’s legendary 32-yard reception in the last two minutes of Super Bowl XLII as a standout moment, saying in a media interaction,
“I was at the Super Bowl in ’08 when Tom Brady was going for the perfect season. I remember we had the catch on the helmet from the Giants to win the game, that Eli Manning pass. That was my favorite memory, obviously, of being in the stadium.”
The tennis star went on to deliver his verdict on his favorite half-time show, adding,
“From YouTube, everything I saw was Michael Jackson, the moment when he comes, and he shows up. That was awesome. Then I liked Eminem, 50 Cent, and Dr. Dre in LA,” Federer continued. “I like that because that’s music I also grew up with.”
Roger Federer is vastly considered to be one of the greatest tennis players to have ever graced the sport. The Swiss star was a part of the ATP Tour between 1998 and 2022, and his time on court saw him win a whopping 103 titles.
