How to complete the Ii’s Memento side quest

Ii’s Memento in Nioh 3 is one of the myths involving the NPC, Ii Naotora. The main objective of this side quest is to travel to a temple in Hamamatsu Hill and get rid of five yokai there. This mission automatically shows up after completing the Fated Land myth and rewards you with Samurai’s Locks and more.

How to complete the Ii’s Memento side quest in Nioh 3

Interact with Ii Naotora

You can undertake the Ii’s Memento side quest in Nioh 3 anytime at the Hamamatsu Castle. However, do note that you must first complete the Fated Land side quest as a prerequisite.

Once that is finished, just teleport to the Hamamatsu Castle and talk to Ii Naotora to engage in a dialogue sequence where she informs you of a shrine north of the castle, plagued with five yokai and requests your aid in getting rid of them. Additionally, she provides you with the Mountain Temple Key, which is necessary to enter the temple.

To reach the temple, go to the Mikatagahara Junction shrine in Hamamatsu Hill. From here, head north to find a staircase to your right with statues surrounding it. Climb up the staircase and take a left to get across the bridge.

You will then find a door on the other side of the bridge. Simply use the Mountain Temple Key you received from Ii Naotora to unlock it and enter the temple.

Defeat all five yokai

After entering the temple, you must look for four yokai hiding inside. Here’s where to find each one in this Nioh 3 mission:

  • First yokai: Found standing next to the tree just in front of the door.
  • Second yokai: To find this one, simply head a few paces right from the previous yokai’s location.
  • Third yokai: To reach the third yokai, take the flight of stairs left of the first yokai’s location, followed by another flight of stairs on the right.
  • Fourth yokai: Go left from the third yokai’s location and jump to the other side of the gap.

Once all four yokai have been defeated, the fifth yokai, which is much more powerful, will spawn near the centre of the temple. You must defeat it.

Upon your victory against the yokai, head over to the highest part of the Mountain Temple. Here you will encounter a Revenant by the name of Aggreived Warrior, who will immediately attack you upon arriving. Engage in a battle against the foe to complete all the objectives of the Ii’s Memento side quest.

Return to Ii Naotora at the Hamamatsu Castle and inform her of the Revenant. Following the dialogue sequence, the quest will be completed.
