Trailblazers’ next destination, Planarcadia, arrives in the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 update. With our journey in Amphoreus wrapping up, many fans have been excited about what is coming next in the game. In the HSR 4.0 livestream, HoYoverse unveiled all-new maps, characters, enemies, and other content arriving with Planarcadia’s release.
The first update of a new world release is always a big deal, and HoYoverse has prepared tons of freebies to bring more players to the land of Elation. The Honkai Star Rail 4.0 update will feature a free 5-star limited character selector, including popular characters such as Acheron, Aventurine, and more. Other than a free limited 5-star, players will also be able to claim a free skin for Ruan Mei and lots of free pulls in HSR 4.0 update.

Limited 5-star character selector
After the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 update goes live, players can log in to claim one of the following limited 5-star characters:
- Jing Yuan (Lightning Erudition)
- Kafka (Lightning Nihility)
- Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae (Imaginary Destruction)
- Jingliu (Ice Destruction)
- Sparkle (Quantum Harmony)
- Acheron (Lightning Nihility)
- Aventurine (Imaginary Preservation)
This is a stacked lineup of 5-star characters for players to choose from. While some characters have fallen behind in HSR’s current meta, others like Kafka and Sparkle are great picks thanks to their character enhancements.
Free Ruan Mei skin “Plumblossom Letter”
By logging in during the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 update, players can claim a free skin for the 5-star character Ruan Mei, titled “Plumblossom Letter.” This skin has a similar color style to her original design but is inspired by the fashion of the Xianzhou people. Nonetheless, it is an elegant skin, and Ruan Mei fans will probably be excited to get it for free.
However, if a player fails to log in and claim the free Ruan Mei skin, it will become available for purchase for 1680 Oneiric Shards in the Outfit Shop window.

Free Special Passes, Self-Modelling Resins, and more
In Honkai Star Rail, players can log in to claim 10 x Special Passes, 3 x Self-Modelling Resins, and 600 x Stardust. Along with this, the update will also feature the Gift of Odyssey daily login event, where players can log in for seven days to get 10 x Special Passes.
During HSR 4.0 update, players can participate in the A Flip of Fortune event daily for five days to get a total of 1600 Stellar Jades. In total, players will get 30 free pulls simply by logging in to the HSR 4.0 update. On top of that, there are going to be plenty of other events, many new maps, and quests for players to earn more Stellar Jades.
Last but not least, players can pre-register for version 4.0 in the Planarcadia Ultimate Elation League web event and play games to get an extra 120 Stellar Jades.
