30-year-old star makes official AEW debut at Grand Slam: Australia

A 30-year-old newcomer has made her debut in AEW at the company’s latest event, Grand Slam Australia. The star in question, Lena Kross, also aligned herself with two of the promotion’s most dominant performers right now.

Earlier this month on Dynamite, the duo of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford earned a victory over The Babes of Wrath in a Tag Title Eliminator Match, earning themselves a shot at the belts scheduled for Grand Slam Australia. On this past Wednesday’s show, AEW aired a video package promoting the matchup and offering a look at Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron’s defiant confidence heading into their championship defense.

Footage from the event, currently unfolding in Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, is now making the rounds on social media, concerning the fate of MegaBad, who seem to have gained a new ally in the form of Lena Kross. Clips on X/Twitter from Grand Slam shows The Hottest Commodity taking out The Babes of Wrath, and afterwards standing tall side by side with Ford and Bayne. The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles seemingly did not change hands, however. .

Rumors of Kross’ All Elite Wrestling signing have been in the air for a while, picking up especially after she was spotted with Tony Khan at a recent PWA show. The 30-year-old has been honing her skills on the Australian and US independent scene since her start back in 2017. The addition of a performer of Kross’ caliber will no doubt raise the intensity of competition in the company’s women’s division even further.

Lena Kross wrestled a former AEW champion last year

Although she has just made her All Elite Wrestling debut, Lena Kross is not entirely new to competition in the Jacksonville-based promotion. On the July 31 edition of AEW Collision last year, The “Phenom” battled Kris Statlander one-on-one. The Cosmic Killer picked up a dominant submission victory over Kross in that showdown, however, defeating her in under two minutes.

The Aussie grappler also appeared on a September, 2025 taping of ROH months later, defeating Lacey Lane in a dark match. Now with MegaBad by her side, it remains to be seen what kind of chaos Lena Kross is about to unleash in All Elite Wrestling.
